Abby And The Band

Kennedy attended the university of Guelph where she studied the genre of Jazz. There she joined her first group “Abby and the Band”. The band played genres from jazz to neosoul. The group consists of jazz and folk bassist Kennedy Shaw, culturally rooted and creative percussionist Emmitt Leacock, jazz pianist Max Degroot, and jazz and soul vocalist Abby Hegmans. “Abby and the Band” takes up regular gigs in the city of Guelph, Ontario at various bars, restaurants and venues.
