Kennedy Shaw is a dynamic Canadian electric, upright and synth bass player whose energetic personality comes forth through her groovy basslines. Kennedy has touched bass in genres including funk, jazz, folk, psychedelic rock, neo-soul, blues and country. Her infectious onstage energy can be found in bands like Royal City Rhythm and the Prince Tribute band Purple Funkadelica. Her playing draws heavily from ‘70s and ‘80s funk, ‘90s RnB, and soul. This has reflected in her music, creating a pocket like no other. Kennedy Shaw is a young versatile bassist committed to keeping the essence of funk alive in the modern music industry.
